The Span Center’s Area Plan is a comprehensive, multi-year roadmap that guides our work. The Area Plan identities the needs of older adults and caregivers within Planning Service Area 15, outlines the services we intend to provide to meet those needs, and details estimated budgeting for the our operations and services.

Pursuant to Section 306 of the Older Americans Act (42 U.S.C. § 3026) and 45 C.F.R. § 1321.65, The Span Center is requesting feedback and public comments on the FY2026 Amendment to the Four-Year Plan for Aging Services. In 2023, The Span Center issued its current Area Plan for Aging Services (October 1, 2023 – September 30, 2027). The Span Center is required to amend our 4-year plan, annually. The amended FY2026 Area Plan, effective October 1, 2025, includes:

• The Span Center’s intentions to provide Grab and Go Meals. 
• Changes to programming and requests for Direct Waivers
• Request for Minimum Adequate Proportion (MAP) Waiver

Our Area Plan 30-Day Public Comment Period on the amended Area Plan is from June 20, 2025, to July 18, 2025.
