As the Capital Area on Aging, we are a non-profit offering a wide range of services to help older adults, caregivers and individuals with disabilities live more independently and comfortably. We provide access to vital resources and most of our services are available at no cost to those who qualify.

Advocacy for individuals in long-term care including nursing homes and assisted living -
Legal Services
Access to free preparation of Life Planning Documents in partnership with Williams Mullen -
Fraud Prevention
Education on identifying and avoiding scams in partnership with Virginia Senior Medicare Patrol -
Public Guardianship
Legal guardianship program for 18+ adults without other advocates -
Senior Employment
Employment programs for adults 55+ to gain skills and re-enter the workforce -
Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
A nationwide volunteer network offering opportunities for older adults -
Foster Grandparents / Mentors
Program for volunteers (55+) to mentor and provide support to youth -
