Legal Services

Need important legal papers like a Will, Power of Attorney, or Advance Medical Directive? During our free Law Days, volunteer lawyers help you prepare these documents privately. Sessions are held at various locations throughout the area. Registration is required.

The Span Center, in partnership with The Greater Richmond Bar Foundation and participating local counties, offer legal services at no cost to eligible participants to support independence, dignity, and peace of mind.

Who is Eligible?

•  Adults 55 +

•     Persons with disabilities (over age 18)

•     Caregivers

•     Individuals receiving hospice care

What We Provide

Eligible participants can meet with volunteer attorneys who prepare important Life Planning Documents, such as:

•     Simple Wills

•     Advance Medical Directives

•     Powers of Attorney

Why This Matters

Life planning can feel overwhelming, especially when cost is a barrier. This program helps ensure that eligible adults have the opportunity to protect their wishes, plan for the future, and access trusted legal guidance.

Sessions are available throughout our the Greater Richmond Region, and registration is required.
