Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)

The Retired & Volunteer Program (RSVP) is one of the nation’s largest networks connecting older adults with local organizations to address community needs. A key focus of RSVP is reducing social isolation – more than 42,000 older adults in the Greater Richmond area live alone.

Volunteers engage in meaningful activities like mentoring, meal delivery and financial support, using existing skills or learning new ones. By joining RSVP, you become part of a national network of over 245,000 volunteers. Benefits include volunteer insurance, mileage reimbursement, service recognition and support from The Span Center.
