Volunteer Money Management offers a helping hand with paying bills and keeping track of expenses. Each month, we visit you to assist with budgeting and making payments, so you don’t have to worry about late fees or missed bills. Our goal is to make managing money easier and give you peace of mind.
The Span Center helps older adults (60+) manage their finances and bill payments, promoting independence and protecting against financial exploitation. Volunteers work one-on-one with clients to create personalized filing systems, prepare budgets, ensure timely bill payments, interpret billing statements, help writing checks, balance checkbooks and review bank statements.
Eligibility for Volunteer Money Management requires using a single checking account for monthly expenses and having income directly deposited into the account. This service is provided at no charge, though donations are appreciated.
